Training and Workshops
If you are a lawyer or social worker, MCMC is an accredited provider. Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education credits are available for all regularly scheduled trainings and for some workshops. In addition trainings have been approved for continuing education credits applicable to PA Social Work Licensure renewal.
In addition to the introduction to or continuation in this exciting and worthwhile professional field, mediation training offers the opportunity to interact with others who share an enthusiasm for and commitment to mediation as a process. You will learn tools and techniques that are applicable in many areas of your life and which can change the way in which you yourself handle conflict and relationship issues. You will also learn how to turn conversations into more productive means of communication and avenues for better understanding yourself and others.
MCMC is committed to producing quality mediators trained in the transformative model of mediation. Our trainings and workshops are appropriate for mediators at all different levels of experience, from beginner to advanced. Please contact our office if you have a unique training requirement or background and we will try to accommodate your training needs on an individual basis.
Because the process of becoming an experienced and effective mediator is a rigorous one, MCMC is not able to offer volunteer mediator opportunities at this time except on a limited basis. Please contact our office at admin@montcomediation.com or 610-277-8909 for more information.
At this time mediation is an underutilized process in our country, although as more people become aware of its benefits MCMC believes that mediation can become a more important arena in which conflict resolution can occur. Therefore MCMC makes no representation about the amount of work a mediator trained by us can expect to receive.
Our calendar of trainings is updated from time to time, so please check us out frequently to see what additional trainings or workshops are available.
Our programs are kept small to provide optimum interaction between participants and instructors. Last-minute participant substitutions are difficult to arrange. We understand emergency situations may arise that will affect your attendance to our programs.

If cancellation is received 30 days prior to the training date, a full tuition refund minus a $50 administrative fee will be made or 100% of the tuition is transferable to another mediation class.

If cancellation is received within 11 to 29 days of the program date, a 50% refund of the tuition will be made, or 100% of the tuition is transferable to another mediation class.

If cancellation is made within 0 to 10 days of the program date, the entire tuition is non-refundable, but 100% of the tuition may be transferred to another program.
We reserve the right to cancel an event for insufficient registration and cannot be held responsible for expenses related to travel and/or reservations for overnight accommodations. In the event of course cancellation, registrants will be notified of course cancellation by the registration deadline and will receive full refunds.
